Where access allows, brake lines may be formed in place on the vehicle to reduce confusion and help eliminate any miscalculations. When the tubing bender will not fit in or around the work area on the vehicle, brake and fuel lines are marked and the required bends are performed on the work bench.
Mark the brake or fuel line and align that mark with the zero point on the tube bender's graduated scale as pictured below. Slowly squeeze the tube bender's arms until the desired angle is achieved. The pictures below illustrate the starting and finish points for a 60-degree brake tubing bend.
