With engine turned off and vehicle's park brake applied, disconnect one plug wire from one spark plug. Carefully twisting and pulling the boot as apposed to the spark plug wire may prevent costly plug wire and terminal damages.
Insert the inline ignition spark plug wire testers between the spark plug and the spark plug wire that was just disconnected. All of the spark plug wires can be tested simultaneously with enough testers to compare cylinders.
Now idle engine with the park brake applied. Observe the test tool and there should be a constant bright flashing in the test tool if cylinder's secondary ignition system is ok. Works great for testing coil on plug systems also.
Turn the engine off, remove the inline ignition spark tester from spark plug wire and spark plug, reconnect the wire to the spark plug, and repeat steps above for all remaining spark plugs if they were not tested simultaneously.
